Jamie grew up in Ft Myers Florida and learned bass by playing in church and along with R&R and R&B recordings. He left town to play on the road shortly after graduating high school touring most of the USA and Europe for three years with the "High Energy" band. Jamie then enrolled in the Jazz program at North Texas State University (UNT), where he graduated with a Master's Degree in Jazz Education.
During his school years and for 10 years following, Jamie was a professional studio musician, playing on numerous national spots (Pepsi, USAF, Chilies, Ford, United Way, NFL) and movie soundtracks. He also toured with a diverse group of artists: Lou Christie, Frankie Ford, Lou Marini, Jack Peterson, Brian Hyland, Dixie Cups, Rich Matteson, Tom Scott, Bill Watrous, and Mario Cruz.
Today Jamie enjoys playing in the studio in addition to live gigs and has played on recent CDs for Isaiah Six, Paul Bernadeau, Dennis Roger Reed, David Bush and Blue Mama.
